The “scraps” left over from larger sculptures are often to beautiful to just toss out so I have begun to challenge myself to do sketch sculptures. For this process, I’ll grab a scrap and start carving it with out a plan to see where it leads. This one felt like a bit like piece of coral one might see diving or snorkeling.
