Intuitive Expressions

After completing large works, I there are often beautiful shapes of stone that have been cut away and it pains me to discard them. As a result, I have begun to challenge myself to create small intuitive sculptures. It’s fun to see where it will lead as my subconscious takes control and begins to expresses itself in the work. As lines and shapes begin to emerge in the stones they often reveal elements of memorable life experiences. That's when the reminiscing begins and the memories get poured into the stone. It is a fun and free flowing process that I have come to enjoy.
