The “scraps” left over from larger sculptures are often to beautiful to just toss out so I have begun to challenge myself to do sketch sculptures. For this process, I’ll grab a scrap and start carving it with out a plan to see where it leads. This one felt as though the elements were shooting off into their own direction, much like the people and relationships we experience throughout or lives.
